Gay Dating 101: Is He Flirting With Me? 10 Sure Signs That Someone Likes You

1.  Eye Contact – Did you catch him looking at you?  Did you he look at you, then shyly look away?  If you catch him glancing over at you several times this is definitely a sign that he likes you.  If you’re talking and he seems to be staring at you intently, lapping up every word you say, that’s an even better sign.

2. Introduction – How did he introduce himself to you?  Did he make a point of coming over to you, asking your name, and introducing himself?  Making an effort to get to know you could mean that he likes you.  Or it could mean that he just has impeccable manners.  Wait for more signs.

3.  Listening – We’ve all had the situation where we are talking to someone we are interested in, and they seem completely oblivious.  Maybe they’re scanning the crowd for someone better to talk to, or trying to sneak a peek at the TV behind you, either way it’s a bad omen.  If a guy is actively participating in the conversation, listening to what you are saying as though it is the most fascinating thing ever, then that is a sign that he is definitely into you.

4.  Smiling – Does he send a sly little smile your way?  Even when we’re trying to play it cool, we can’t help but smile at someone we like.

5.  Touching - Obviously, hot and heavy petting would be inappropriate, but pay attention to any little touches.  Maybe he has “accidentally” brushed against your arm, or maybe he needlessly tucked the tag back into the collar of your shirt.  Even the smallest grazing of the hand, is typically a sign that he is trying to be affectionate with you.

6.  Sitting Next to You – Watch where he sits when you sit down.  Did he sit right next to you?  The closer the better, especially if there is plenty of other seating around.  Choosing to be physically close to you is a sure-fire sign that he is interested.

7.  Seeking You Out – Does he seek out your company or conversation?  If you’re at a party or bar, and he is following you around the room, always wanting to be where you are, that’s a great sign that he likes you.

8. Actually Calling You – Sure they all say they’ll call, but how many of them actually do?  Give him your number.  If you calls you then he actually likes you.

9. Talking about the Future - Of course you don’t want someone proposing to you on the first date, but if he includes you in his future plans whether it be seeing a movie next weekend or wanting to take you to his favorite restaurants, these are all signs that he considers you to be someone worthy of his time.

10.  Why Wouldn’t He Like You? – You’re a very likable person!  Keep and air of confidence and show him what a great guy you are.
